It is not DEPRESSION, it is a ... Period!!!

This is the answer I have given to someone that had posted on a forum a topic about depression, asking what he could do to get out of it...


well...i think that everyone has his/her own way to get trough depression...I can give you Mine:

1. don' t call it depression...use other adjectives like sad, tough, hard, stressed, nervous period...depression is a BIG word and make it bigger than it can be...:-)

2. the most important thing for me is the WILL to stay better and fight that state...who doesn't fight doesn't heal...

3. some psycs say to let it be...and it is right if you see it as a SIGNAL of sth that is not going in the right direction of your life or of yourself...someone said" Sadness is in living the life of one other and our own"...
What in your life or your self is not as you would like? What can you do for change it?...sometime there are situation that are not easy to change (money, family health issues...)then you have to change the way you look at them...
REiki, yoga, oriental religion or phylosophies etc can give you a different perspective to look at thing of life...

4. Don't think it will last for ever...this sad moment will go and other more positive o happy moments will arrive...it is a wheel....and EVERYBODY experience sadness...and the feeling of self unconfidence...but...just wait, look back at all the good things you have done in your life, ask those that love you and look at the sky, ocean, clouds, moon and nature around and breath...

5. use bright colors ...

6. work out in the open air the more you can...:-)
